Armando León is a musician and orchestra conductor from Tlaxcala, Mexico. His debut as a guest conductor with the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo (OSUAEH) at 19, as well as his conviction to inspire, transform, and build through music, has marked the beginning of a career that has led him to stages in Bulgaria, Spain, the United States, and Mexico. He pursued his violin studies at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP) (2016-2020), and concurrently, was the Founder of the Instituto Nacional de las Artes México (INAM) (2015-2023). Throughout his professional trajectory, notable milestones stand out. In 2024, he became the youngest guest conductor to conduct the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de Puebla (OSEP) and as Music Director for the American premiere of La Bamba! A Musical by Paul Morrisey. Currently, León has been accepted at the Bulgarian National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he will continue his studies in orchestral and opera conducting, and recently, the Mexican newspaper La Jornada de Oriente highlighted: “He is 26 years old, but his trajectory and passion for music make him seem like a veteran in orchestral conducting.”
